Week 79

Yooooo well this is it..

It's been great serving here in glasgow. we have been able to teach so many amazing people that i am do sad to leave all of them!

Hans is still doing so good! He came to church for the first time yesterday and he really enjoyed it:) and then our friend billie was baptised after church and hans stayed for that as well. He really liked it! We are still teaching him and preparing him for baptism.

I sent a picture of me and sister peterson on exchanges eating chinese food with three of our friends, they are flora, jane and ethan. I met the two chicks on the subway and invited them to have lunch with me and they are so busy with school it took some time, but we were finally able to have lunch with them. They were impressed with my chopsticks skills haha. But while we were eating we were able to teach them the plan of salvation and they loved it. jane and ethan came to church yesterday for the first time and i think it was a little long for them cause jane fell asleep in both hours. hahah it was a rough service, but not too rough because they want to meet up later this week :) they are amazing.

Bruno, our friend from portugal, came to church yesterday for the first time as well. He loves learning about the gospel and is preparing for his baptism as well. He really likes the book of mormon.

My homeboy, Mohammed, i found while i was gqing. he is muslim but wanted to learn more and now he has decided to be baptised and convert to christianity!! so exciting. He came to church yesterday for the first time too haha. We have to get everything figured out for him to make sure it is safe for him to convert. But he is amazing.

Zhanqiu is still on her journey. she wont be baptised for some time but she is keeping all her commitments and comes to church always.

Our, Janaina, from brazil, we found her chapping. Amazing story actually. We picked a random name not eh ward list to go visit and her name was sarah. we chapped her door and this chick answered the door and we asked for sarah and she said that no sarah lived there and that she just moved there. Her name is janaina and she is from brazil. we got to talking with her and she said she wanted to meet. we have been teaching her now and she is so excited for her baptism! Crazy thing is though, she literally moved to another flat like two days ago. So if we didnt go and visit that flat when we did we would have missed her. God is so good! I love her so much. we visited her last night and she talked about her baptism and how excited she is.

I found this dude named jay the other day. we had an on the spot with him and we sat down and taught him a little bit and he was so happy that we took the time to teach him and is looking forward to meeting with us again. I texted him yesterday and he was already reading the book of mormon! I love this gospel. He is really enjoying reading it.

Sister ethington found this guy named gary who is from scotland. His accent is so thick! He is 18 and so funny haha but loves learning as well, and takes all these nites when he is taught. He is preparing for his baptism as well.

We went and visited this member who was baptised a few years ago named grand last night. she has a hard time going to church becuase of work but she bore her testimony to us about the gospel and just started bawling because of how much she loves it. Its moments like these that i am going to miss so much.

It has been such a great opportunity to serve here and to have found all these people and teach them. I am excited to continue to hear about their journey in the church. they are all amazing and deserve so much happiness.

I have learned so many amazing things here on my mission in scotland and ireland. I have come so much closer to my Father in Heaven and to my Saviour. I am so grateful for the relationships i have with them because i know that because of Jesud Christ my life will forever be changed. The people i have met on my mission have helped me so much as well. I have gained so many close friends because of it.

Week 77

Ayyyyyeeee

so this week was a good one as well! Glasgow is still great. Some of the highlights. My favorite was one of my exchanges this week. This is her second transfer so she is still a trainee and she can get pretty nervous to go out and talk with people, especially in glasgow because it is so big. But in the morning we were planning for our day and we had about 3 lessons so that gave us 3.5 finding hours. We decided we wanted to set up 3 appointments with people we met that day. And then the thought came into my mind, "get an on the spot today" (which is where you meet someone and have a lesson right then and there). I was like “woah, Heavenly Father, we have to take it easy today. she is already so scared of talking to people" but the thought kept coming into my mind and so i finally said to her lets try to get an on the spot today. i could see the fear on her face, but she was a trooper and said okay. Oh my goodness... so i was praying so hard for her that morning for this on the spot. Then probably within our first hour of finding she stopped this man named jack and starts talking. he says he wants to sit down and so we went to the nearest pub and taught him. It was literally a miracle!! We were both so happy.

Then later that day i stopped this asian dude and i started talking with him and asked him where he is from and he says "if you guess where i am from i will go sit down with you guys right now”. I was thinking, oh flip man. and then beijing came into my head so i said, "beijing?" And he looked surprised and said "yeah.. thats where i am from”. so we went and sat down and taught him. He doesnt know anything about God or Jesus, so it was so fun teaching him. But we have taught him twice this week and he is on date for baptism! His name is hans.

Kammanda is doing well. he had a hard week but still came to church even though its so far away. He's awesome.
